Staying on track w oversleeping

I have a very big issue with over sleeping. Classic hypersomnia symptoms for the most part, but nothing has been diagnosed yet (it's being looked into though). But because of this. I'll sometimes go upwards of 16+ hours without eating a whole lot. I'm worried about it messing up my metabolism. Is this a huge issue or should I be fine?
