Fitbit issues

I have finally put a new battery in my fit it zip so I can get back to tracking steps, but when I put a brand new battery in, it didnt turn on. I made sure the +/- sides were correct and like I said the battery was brand new. I've only had the fitbit for a year and its never went through the wash or has gotten wet so should be working fine. Any tricks to re installing the battery? :) or should I just call support?
