Hi, i have Chiari, and i had an operation 8 months ago on the cack of my skull neck.
basically 1 get a pressure build up in my head and headached following anything strenuous like running skipping, etc. I cant lift weights or do contact sports\ dancing either. But i can do ligtht activities like walking yoga stretches etc
Im wanting to tone up and loose from my tummy and thighs/bum.
Can anyone suggest anything really affective that i can do in the house for loosing and toning my tummy and for loofing off my legs ??
Thanks

Diet. That, plus diet should give you results. Keep up with your stretching and yoga, maybe try swimming... but really it's all about diet.0

I didnt think about swimming - thats a great idea - thank you.
TBH i only need the last 28lbs off now as ive been dieting and lost 32lbs already and im down to a 14, its the toning up to get the jiggles undercontrol that im now wanting to do something for to get back into a 12 and maybe a 10 in time.
My profile picture is a few years ago following 2 years of dancing fittness classes and MFP support and calorie counting - i was 140lbs and a size 10 - its my THINspiration - id like to get there again before im 30 in August 2016 - assuming i dont have anymore operations following my checkups
Ive never done sit ups because they cause pressure - are there ways that i can tone up my stomache and love handle ares withou doing sit ups?0 -
You can’t spot reduce. You just need to remain patient and persistent on your eating and you’ll slowly lose the rest of the fat.
Many people look down on walking, but it is an excellent fitness tool. You can accomplish all of your fitness goals by walking and yoga. Walking will help keep your cardiovascular up, yoga will help with flexibility and strength (including your abs). Adding things like swimming would add variety as well.0 -
Swimming, yoga, pilates and body weight toning routines will all help you... Keep a strict log of your calories and you should be able to shed the pounds and tone up. Weight loss is 80% diet so focus on CICO and you will lose weight. Set MFP to lose 1 lb a week and work from there.0

Actually walking is an excellent fitness tool. It is less stress on your body, and can be enjoyable.

Diet, that's it. Exercise won't achieve anything without the correct diet steered towards your goals. Yoga sounds excellent, keep doing that along with burning more calories than you consume and be patient. If it's 28 lbs you want to lose, give yourself a year to do this correctly. You'll be seeing results long before then, but take your time.0

Thank you all, i have a goal of my 30th birthday in 17months time to be at 135-140lbs so i will get there slowlym, i just want to feel better about myself in shorts for this summer
i love walking so i think ill up the distances too0 -
Weight by itself is a terrible measure of health. Focus on body composition (body fat percentage). You can see improvement in body fat by doing body measurements (neck, chest, stomach, waist, hips, upper arms and upper legs).0
