Protein in chicken help please

okay so I've been dieting for awhile and I've come across a little delima. From what I know 1oz cooked chicken is about 7-7.5g protein (googled it and this was what multiple sources said) yet on my boneless skinless tenders it says 22g per 4oz, doesn't specify if it means 4oz raw or cooked (I weighed out 28oz before cooking and after cooking it was only 18oz). Can anyone please clear this confusion up for me? That would be awesome

In general, for whole foods such as meat, vegetables, fruits, and nuts search for and use the non-asterisked (MFP-entered) food items. Use the modifiers raw and cooked to help narrow down your searches so that the non-asterisked items (visible on the Web version only) appear near the top of the search list.
For example, search for "chicken - meat, breast, cooked"
