This time it seems to be working

This is what I would consider my first serious attempt at losing weight. Like many people I would complain about my weight, try to 'diet' a few days very strictly, and fail miserably. This time around I'm attempting the everything in moderation boat. I have been active on MFP since November but after a few failed starts I am on day 78 of continuous calorie monitoring.

I started with a small calorie deficit and have lost 15 pounds! I'm ecstatic, and I feel so much better! Of course, I've had a few coworkers ask me how I've done it and, when given my story, they typically shake their head and say it doesn't work for them. I'm proof that CALORIE DEFICITS WORK. I didn't cut out a single thing from my diet. I just change the way I eat it.

I never truly understood the 'make small changes gradually' until this time around. Unfortunately, it took a physician telling me that I had gained 17 pounds in one year and was now clinically obese.

Currently, I'm 5'7'' and 192 pounds(down from my all time high of 207). My next small goal is 185, but ultimate goal will be 150.

So thankful for MFP!
