Weight machines that don't have you pushing with foot.
I got full body workout in hobbling around on crutches with broken ankle.
Except their glute machine was a push version, prior gym had standing curl type, which still wouldn't have been useful.

1 legged spin bike for cardio, though can't do for long.

    Swimming.

Bench press, pull ups and (seated) overhead press. Once your foot has healed, throw in deadlifts and squats.

Hand cycle for some kinda CV, depending on location and severity try some swimming. When you're going through rehab try cross trainer (elliptical trainer) and rower.

Best bit of advice- if it hurts stop, and always consult a rehab specialist or physio!

I just sprained my ankle, which meant no more lacrosse, salsa, or running for a while. But I just started scuba diving lessons, which turns out to be great!

Ask your doctor when you can start water stuff--swimming, pool running, water aerobics. Initially, water immersion can interefere with healing (and obviously it's a nonstarter if you have a full cast), but later on it might work.

You could also YouTube "chair exercises."

Definitely be careful in water. It can be great once ALL inflammation has gone down, but it can be detrimental otherwise. I sprained my ankle two months ago, and a month ago I went to a thermal spa (with my husband. My ankle blew up to the size of a grapefruit within 20 minutes, and didn't go down for days. It was painful to walk and move it in that time.

I found walking on crutches to be an amazing workout. My arms never looked so good.
