Anyone else lose in weird patterns vs. steady? Or inches instead of lbs?

Curious if anyone else looses in weird patterns? I don't loose every week. I'll go a couple weeks of the same or even up and then drop 2-3 pounds.

Or anyone else lose inches before weight?
I've lost 1.5 inches off my waist but haven't lost much weight. Does that eventually pick up once you have more muscle?
