It's good that you're trying...
however, to succeed, you need to nail down some basic numbers and then consistently hit them.
Set MFP to gain 1/2lb week. Eat that amount unfailingly for a couple of weeks. Did you gain 1lb? Yes. Keep going for two more weeks. No? Eat more and repeat.
As you gain weight, you'll find you have to eat more and more as you adapt and your body does sneaky things to increase your TDEE. Gaining is a moving target and requires just as much monitoring, patience and hard work/dedication as cutting weight.
If you haven't done the above (eating, testing, retesting, upping cals) consistently, then that is the first place to start. Be methodical....0 -
