Wanted to share this because I haven't seen this recipe doing the rounds and it is so satisfying. My new go-to healthy high protein easy snack

Ingredients

1 scoop of whey protein of choice
1/4 cup of milk (or water for lower cals)
1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tbsp cacao or cocoa

Mix together in a bowl or mug. Microwave on high for 30-60sec depending on microwave and cooking preference. Eat and enjoy!

There's a lot of scope to play with flavours here. I made my first batch with choc mint whey, cacao, cows milk and stirred through a few dark choc chips.

You can sub the cacao for coconut flour for a blondie, add sweetener if needed and mix in things like PB or PB2, berries, nuts etc.

I make this all the time, its awesome. Ill make a flattish one, cut it into chunks and put it in my yogurt sometimes too, its way more satisfying than just stirring the protein powder in :P

I'm confused. What part do I use the beltsander for?

It was posted by a guy with the instagram name Beltsander so it gets referred to as Beltsander brownies. Definitely no beltsander required for this one

I'm going to make this now, if I'm disappointed i'm going to be really upset!

ETA it turned into protein brownie mush, not solid in any way at all :/ Also had to mix it halfway through because it was about to spill over and was still liquidy. So.. guessing high power level is NOT optimal haha.

BUT it tastes decent, way too bitter though with the cocoa powder (I even added 21g of honey!!) so probably needs more sweetener next time. But this is my experience every time I use cocoa powder in stuff like this, makes it taste.... off.

Beltsander? Isn't this the base for pretty much all protein mugcakes..for like..forever?

They're good tho, I haven't made one in quite some time but I'd get a little more interesting with it. Make pb lava cake =x omnomnom

Might depend on whether your protein powder has sweetener. I didn't need any in mine, but then again I love dark bitter chocolate so that could have something to do with it.

Did you use a mug? I did mine in a bowl and it worked quite well. No spillage

It would depend on what ingredients you use but with 30g of choc mint WPI from bulk nutrients, 62.5ml light milk and 7.5g raw cacao powder mine came out to:

    168 cal. 6 Carbs, 2 Fat, 30 Protein

With 6g of dark choc chips it was

    200 cal. 10 Carbs, 4 fat, 30 protein

Probably, there are a lot of variations going around. I found this one quite simple

Ive done just protein powder+water+baking powder and it works great, I put mine in a small bowl and microwave for 30 seconds if I'm adding stuff to eat it from the bowl, and like 45-50 secs if I'm cutting it into pieces
