I've already posted in one other thread, so a couple/few of you might know me already, but for those who don't, I'm not exactly here to lose weight. I mean, I want to lose a couple pounds while I'm here, but my primary goal is to find motivation and encouragement as I try to tame my college eating habits before they get out of hand.
I'm a freshman-going-on-sophomore and have gained some since the start of my first semester. I'm not overweight, but I want to return to how I was in my last year of high school: active with a healthy taste in food. I've been trying on my own for months but to no avail, so I came here.
Aside from whole fruits and salad ingredients, my family can't afford much in terms of health food. (Well, they would if they didn't spend it all on prepackaged junk from Walmart. It's quite sad, actually.) My mother has diabetes, and my boyfriend (somehow) has a bigger sweet tooth than me. Our friends? They've never cared about what they eat.
So, as you can probably tell, I'm not exactly surrounded by many positive reminders and forms of encouragement. I'm hoping that by publicizing what I eat will compel me to make healthier choices and stick to my plans and goals.
