New Goals, New motivation

I've been struggling since for the last month to get back into my day to day fitness routine, and having already lost +65lbs I really don't want to squander all my hard work. So last night, I had an incredible workout (my hams are killing me!) and I was so trilled to see my backside bounce back post heavy lifting (got to love a good pump), that was motivation to keep going, but now to establish some goals.
My overall goal has always been to achieve and maintain an ideal weight for my height. Which I am about 20lbs away from. That being said, along my long journey of health, I realized that there's more to it the scale, and the scale is not always reflective of progress. That's simply not enough to keep me going, because honestly i'm happy at my current weight, so it's easy to rest on my laurels. That is not acceptable. This made me realize I need to set more goals. Specifically my fitness goals.
My first bench marker will be my friends wedding at the end of May, I'm in the bridal party and I want to look banging so I need to focus on gaining lean muscle mass and cutting fat. Key areas to measure improvement are butt/hips and arms and tummy, with a major focus on improving arms and shoulders (strapless dress!!) I'm starting an 8 week lifting plan (a hybrid from fitness blender and Jamie Eason). I'm not going to focus on my weight as much as much measurements, I'm going to rock that size 8 dress! (*)
(*) Fun story, when I bought my wedding dress last summer (August) they ordered me a 16 (at the time I was wearing a 12/14 in street clothes). When the wedding arrived I had to have it altered to essentially a 10/12, and now my dress is an 8 (no alterations required)- Major NSV for me and i'm using it as fuel for my motivation!
