Just getting started

Currently making a grocery list. Feeling overwhelmed. What does your list look like?
I have a lot of weight to lose.

    I never make a list.

    I buy fresh and frozen vegetables
    Fresh fruit
    Fresh and frozen meats (mainly fish and skinless/boneless chicken breasts and thighs)
    Fresh and hard cooked eggs

    Low fat Cottage cheese, Greek yogurt
    Rolled oats

    That's pretty much the majority of what I eat. There are thousands of variations of meals you can make with those ingredients.

    I'm working on the same issue. The best advice I've heard is to plan out your meals for the next two weeks (or however long it is between grocery trips) and then only buy the items you need for those meals.
