This is when I decided to make a life change. At the age of 51 I've lost 25 lbs by running; ok jogging at 5.0 mph (interval 4 min run 1min walk) but now I'm at 4.5 from knee injuries along the way, light weight training, lots of stretching, ab work outs and eating right using MFP and staying in the green as much as possible. I have recently switched to 4mm drops that have taken the strain off my knees and since I wear converse sneakers most of the time the transition was easier than if I was wearing regular 15 to 18 mm drop shoes that are what people myself include wore. My legs especially my knees feel great; a little sore at time but that's par for the course. I hope to be back at 5 mph in a couple of weeks; I run at home on a treadmill but I'm aching to run free outside. I have a couple of friends in my building that have invited me to run with them: better that staring at the wall. More to come. I'm 165lbs now.
160lbs is next goal then 150lbs then I'm done (this is where I'll stay). I'm 5'7"
