New to Lifting

Anyone have any advice on good weightlifting routines/programs? I've never lifted before, and now that I'm paying more then I can afford for school, I have access to the school's weight room, so I figure'd I might as well start.
Since I've never done any lifting before and don't know anyone in the gym to ask for help, I was wondering if anyone had any advice on where to go for advice. The facilities I have access to doesn't have any trainers, so I need to go elsewhere for this.
If it helps, my goals are probably fairly typical: Bulk up, lower fat %, leaner belly. I'm 6'3' and about 180.
I know this is a process, so I'm in no hurry to reach these goals, but I do need help finding the start! Thanks!

Since you are very new to this, i suggest you use water bottles for weight lifting for the beginning. Not the huge ones of course Try squats and bicep curls but dont be so harsh on yourself, take it slow. You can do this everyday for about 10 mins and when you feel ready to use heavier weights, you can use bigger water bottles or get dumbells for your workout.0

Make sure you find someone that can show you how to proprely do heavy lifting. If you are doing it wrong, you will get injured.0

Stronglifts, 5/3/1, Starting strength are good for beginners.
If you've never done anything, Study the video's (Youtube's got a few "So you think you can Squat\Deadlift\Bench").
If no--one's around video your lifts, study the form, compare it to the training guide, refine it until it's spot on. THEN add more weight. DO NOT try and add too much too soon.
And reign in your diet if you want to bulk up\drop body fat0
