Personal Trainer

Hi Everyone!
As you may already be aware, I did lose a significant amount of weight in 2008 (65 lbs total) and due to a back injury was out-of-commission for approximately six months. At this time, I had a personal trainer and loved it! Unfortunately, she ended up relocating out-of-state to pursue other opportunities.
Having a personal trainer can be really expensive; however, I am at the point that having someone yelling in my face and keeping a daily schedule is needed!! Can anyone recommend a place in Tampa where I can inquire? I would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks again!

absolute waste of time and money, and I'm not knocking personal trainers. You may get some gains from having one but as soon as they are gone, you'll go back to what you are now. If you can't find the will power and make hard decisions on your own, you're not facing the real problem. Personal trainers shouldn't be used to help will power, they should be used once you've conquered your will-power and you need to know what to do next. Not meant to condemn but help perspective.0

I only went to a personal trainer when i was ready to add exercise back in, and I wanted/needed help confirming my lifting form. What are your goals for a personal trainer? What do you want them to help you with?
If my trainer yelled at me, I would change trainers. Now, I do have a Boot Camp instructor and a SPARTA Instructor that do yell, but that is for the class time only.
Not being from that area, I would check out your local Y and see what they have or can suggest. They may be able to point you to one. But again, I would make sure you know what you want them for, if you need them to "make" you eat right, then that is not a good reason to have one.0 -
Thanks guys!
Let me explain...for me, a personal trainer will show me the ways to work my body to achieve the best results possible. Often, I find myself working out in a gym not knowing the machines and how to utilize them correctly. I can definitely see how it can be a waste of money; however, need someone to be there for me to ensure success. I definitely have the "will power" and know what I can accomplish if I put my mind to it.
What a great idea about the Y!! Already looked into one this morning; plan to take some cardio and boot camp classes! WOO HOO!!0
