I know exercise is not the main component in weight loss however I would like to start exercising not only for weight loss but for overall health. I have two children and am in college and work a full time job. Any little tips and tricks to get started getting a little more physical activity everyday?

What are your fitness goals? Do you want more strength? Better body composition? Better cardiovascular fitness? Flexibility? Balance?0

Honestly, you just have to make time for it. I understand you're very busy, I have 3 kids and work full time myself. I just have to remind myself to make time for a work out, and you will have to do the same.
Since it has been pretty outside, me and the kids have been walking each evening. Maybe you can walk on campus or around your neighborhood.
I usually put supper in the oven and then go upstairs for a workout, I usually get finished in time to get supper out and put the finishing touches. How old are your kids? Old enough to help with chores while you do a workout dvd? Switch laundry for you, load the dishwasher, pick up toys, or sweep? I like Jillian Michaels dvd because they are a great cardio workout and only 30-30 minutes each, and they are cheap at Wal-Mart, or free on youtube.
Honestly, you just have to decide that you are worth the time and effort, and just do it. once you get started, you'll get a routine going and it will get easier.0 -

Like OP said, you just need to make time for it. I have 2 kids, work full time and hubby goes to school 3 nights a week. What works for me is getting up at 4:30am to get a good 30-45 min workout in before anybody gets up. Then in the evening after the kids get baths and ready for bed I will usually do another 30 min workout. This works because the kids are usually unwinding and watching tv the last half hr before bedtime. This way my kids get my attention in the morning when getting ready for school and also from when I get home until after their baths. I can get some good workout time in and still have time with my family. Oh, and after 8-8:30pm is when hubby and I have our time when he's not in class. That's when I'll relax and watch our shows or a movie.
Once you get a routine down it gets much easier.0
