After input of my weight loss today, the app recalculated the calories I have as my goal. Previously 1440/ now 1410. 5/pounds lost . Did anyone else experience the app doing this?

Yes; as I lose weight, my calorie goal automatically goes down on MFP. It's fine - as you lose, your calories will keep going down, because your body will be requiring fewer calories to sustain itself.
If you're not comfortable with how much it's going down, you could always reassess your goals and switch to 1 lb. per week or .5 lb. per week (this is assuming you're set at 1.5 lbs. or more). That's what I did. People will tell you that you "should" be set at Weekly Loss Goal X depending upon how much you have to lose, but it's really up to you and what you're comfortable with, IMO. I was fine with eating more and losing comparatively slowly, but what you do will depend upon your own goals.0 -
