I look at it more as replacing what ive lost. Just make sure what you are eating is nutrient dense and a good source of protein!

No I'm starving after (as most should be after a hard enough workout), some lean protein and fiber is great

No... I want to eat all the foods after a good lift session.

I find that working out does curb my appetite for the remainder of the day, but I have a protein shake afterwards.

I eat to fuel. After a workout, if I still have calories left over, I figure out a snack or meal to get as close to my calorie goal as possible.
If I don't eat enough calories during the day, then I feel my workout was for nothing since I feel sluggish and tired.

I look at it from a different angle. I already have my deficit in place, so I exercise to eat more. It feels good. If you're not hungry, I understand. But make sure you're getting enough fuel!

its very important to eat after you workout. I suggest you get in at least a protein shake. This will help you in the long run.

Think of it as stepping one step back but two steps forward.

Thank you for all the responses, I do normally drink protein after, but eating is still a struggle
  • Have a glass of chocolate milk. It's got a lot of what you need for recovery without blowing your calories. Plus it's not heavy, so no bloated stomach.
