Hi all. My name is Ron and I have been at this for 69 days as of this writing and have lost a total of 26.5 pounds. I am very happy with my progress but I still have a long journey ahead. I am 46 years old and I have NEVER been a thin person. Ever since I was a kid, I always weighed about twice the average weight for my age. I have lost weight before but never enough to be considered "skinny" I have always accepted that I was always going to be heavy but always yearned to be healthy. My girlfriend of 11 years has constantly told me that she was happy with me no matter what my size but my health has recently dictated that I get in better shape and start taking better care of myself or I won't be around long enough to enjoy being with her for very much longer. After these last few months, and my success at the table (and the GYM, a place I thought I NEVER would find myself in), my attitude has changed about my size and I believe that I can continue to lose weight and finally meet that "skinny" guy I always dreamed I could be. Here's where you guys come in. I have a few friends who are also on a journey of fitness and health who are also in the "My Fitness Pal" community but not nearly enough to keep me on point. I would like to have some "Fitness" friends to help and encourage me when the times get hard. I can also offer the same to you in your fitness journey. So if you are like me and are looking for some positive encouragement to help you shed pounds and get fit, then add me and let's be friends.
