cant believe the loss

I started on trying to lose weight just last Friday, I have lost 4 pounds. I am still having problems with what I can eat, I love my starch foods.Have a 9 yr old son who needs good foods as well. Gonna try to watch what I eat but .... need to lose this weight desperately.

    Hi Welcome to MFP.

    I hope you find this tool as helpful as I did.

    My suggestions:

    1) Eat at a deficit. I will quote Michael Pollan here: Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants.

    2) Log your calories as accurately as possible. Measure most of what you eat. I bought a kitchen scale and measuring sets (cups and spoons)

    3) Log your burned calories. I bought a Heart Rate Monitor (HRM) for all physical activities including gardening. The one with chest strap.
