Walking 4 miles a day but want to add ...

Ok, I am currently 290lbs, am keeping cals at 1000-1200, I am 22, and have Insanity Workouts(not currently doing them....) am walking 4 miles each day. I also was thinking of buying P90X specifically for the arms/shoulders/etc workouts?
I guess, I am looking for suggestions on the best workout vids/etc for adding weights in to my daily routine?
Would adding in p90x & insanity a few times a week be alright? Or should I be looking into something else?

You're at the beginning of your fitness journey - no need to buy anything - just start adding bodyweight exercises like pushups and squats to your routine.

I'm a rookie at this too but I would suggest not overloading yourself.0

You could definitely add some things to your exercise routine - and if you want to save some money, check out FitnessBlender.com - great site with over 400 workout videos for all abilities. They have a great search feature on the site where you can input the type of workout you're looking for, which makes it really easy. They offer everything from strength training with dumbbells and kettlebells, to bodyweight exercises, to yoga and stretching routines. And it's all FREE.
I've been using their workouts for over a year, no boredom - they're workouts are awesome and they are adding new ones all the time.0 -

What are your goals?
Also, if you have the Insanity series and haven’t done it, why do you think buying another set and trying to mix and match them is the right path?
