Ready to stand on my own two feet

An ending today -my PT left the gym. I have been working with him for over 2 years. I started after and injury, and then continued to drop some more weight, and then have continued working with him. For over 18 months its usually being half hour sessions once a fortnight or so. He was based in the gym I am a member of, so it was a good motivation to keep going there, and to have a specific time to be there for, even if I was tired, or stressed or rushed. Even when I was having major anxiety issues, and wobbles he didn't let me give up. He helped me get back into a fitness routine after a bike accident, and train for a sprint triathlon, and to keep up with my exercise however busy my life feels since the arrival of my second child.
It was strange doing our last session today, never thought I'd work with a PT forever, but the realisation that there was nothing in place, and no text to arrange a date would be coming for moment made me a little worried. But then I realised that I am ready to do this on my own.

When I started working with him I had been in the gym 6 months but never spoke to anyone, now I know most of the staff, love my classes and know I can ask for help if I need it. Most of them know I have anxiety issues sometimes, and can provide support if I need it. I know how to ask for it now, and that's part of the difference. I know I can ask for help, its not a failing to have to ask, only to give up.

So, new chapter. Life is still crazy busy, and its a challenge to find time for exercise, but I do it. For me, my exercise time is as important on the family timetable as going to work or the nursery run. There isn't much of it, so I work as hard as I can when I am there, and look for what else I can do, like walking as much as we can. I have now maintained my 5 stone weight loss for over 2 years now.

Need a new challenge now. Anyone want to join me?
