Almonds: It's an ADDICTION

From time to time we all have those moments where we encounter the one thing we can not control ourselves around. That one food, healthy or otherwise, that we simply cannot resist. No matter how hard we try, it calls us from rooms away once it is discovered. Some things are easy to look at and say, "You are not worth it." BUT we all have that one thing, no matter what we do, we just HAVE to have it (even if we behave and limit portion, obey moderation).
I wish I could say I can obey moderation with my addiction. Moderation goes out the window, down the road and hops a boat to the other side of the globe when I am able to have my sin of sorts. Serving size is whatever I happen to consume and how ever many times I close the bag just to re-open it and enjoy more. MY only hope is that it IS on my perfectly accesptable foods menu tab, so aside from blowing calories, it is at least a good for you snack (when eaten as a normal human would eat it and not me).
My achiles heel?
Almonds: any variety. It's an addiction and I might need to check into rehab. I have found myself consuming more calories from these damn things some days than anything else. I KNOW I shouldn't but I just don't stop. I'm going to return to the approach I took a year ago and have the hubs stock my lunches with cucumbers, peppers, pickles, broccoli, and celery. I like to have crunchy snacks on hand. I am a snacker. I rarely eat actual "meals" so much as I graze on this and that. I am very good at staying in my calorie range and staying away from unhealthy foods; accept almonds. They truly are my crack.
