Hi, I haven't been here in over 2 months, and I've kinda fallen off track the last 2 months, but basically this weekend is my 1 year mark since I started to lose weight so I thought I should post something. I started on March 27th last year. I was about 158 pounds at my highest (probably higher but I stopped weighing myself). (I started using this site when I was about 150, so I didn't log my stuff here the first 10 pounds or so).
I just weighed myself at 107.8 so I've lost about 50 pounds in the last year. My fastest weight loss was in the first 7 months or so. I lost a lot in the summer when I didn't have a car and had to walk a lot, coupled with a good diet and exercise almost every day (about 5 x a week), and really pushed myself.
I can't say it's been easy, there were times that I went to exercise even when I didn't feel like it. But once I got into it, the weeks went by and I was steadily losing weight.
In school, I wasn't overweight but I wasn't fit at all, I would be the last one to finish a run and I could barely run for a minute without stopping.
I just did my second half marathon this weekend! Except for when I picked up water at the water stations (totaling maybe a minute) I didn't stop. I never thought I could do that.
The first time my time was about 2:40 (trail with some elevation), and this time my time was 2:43 (flat, dirt trails). I found the trail this time more difficult and tiring.
I started about 3 minutes late the first time and about 1-2 minutes late this time (I have also a problem with lateness, which is another problem I'm working on).
And I am going to do another one in 2 weeks.
The last 2 months, I moved, started a new job, got a car and that threw everything off track. I gained a bit, but I managed to lose it and now I'm trying to get back on track again.
I'm still struggling with a lot of things myself, like staying on track, but if anyone has any questions, you can try to ask me and I'll try to answer them.
Anyway I just wanted to give an update and encourage everyone to keep going!

I'm trying to find some pictures from when I first started.
Right now I only have these on my computer:
Sorry I don't have more before pictures right now

A year ago (over 155 pounds - I wear dark clothing so it's hard to see the body)
but notice I had a double chin
