I recently had blood work done and my cholesterol levels were high. I feel like I eat ok but do splurge on the weekends. If anyone has had this what are your suggestions? I am always limiting myself while others around me eat what they want and I have the high cholesterol? Frustrated

Cholesterol rises from stress, not just diet. This is often overlooked. For diet, avoid triglyceride fats like found in some deep-fried fast foods, eat lots of fruits and vegetables, and continue to make healthy choices. Mindful meditation and even breathing exercises can help you reduce stress levels0

Age, race, genetics, diet, lifestyle play a huge factor on cholesterol. You have to take charge and make the necessary changes. Exercise helps but you may want to see if your doctor wants to place you on a med such as a water pill to help assist with weight loss but physical activity is necessary.0
