HI Everyone,
My name is Christine and I have been struggling with my weight since 2006 - I was approximately 140lbs from the age of 32 thru 45; prior to that I was having babies - 4 of them so my weight was always going up and down. After my last son was born when I was 30, I made a conscious decision to begin really working on getting my weight under control. I began walking, then running, then going to the gym and taking classes - I was in the best shape of my life until I found myself in the midst of a nasty divorce. It was all down hill from there. Food became my comfort and I gave up exercising - bad move! Even though I'm nearly 52, I still want to look and feel healthy. I know I have a very big hill to climb, but I'm ready for the challenge and hoping for support from the community. I have tried a lot of different diets and none have really worked for me - or maybe I didn't work for them. Who knows, all I know is that I'm ready to hold myself accountable for what I am putting in my mouth and stop making excuses for why I'm eating my fourth bowl of pasta. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I look forward to making new friends.
