I lost 50 pounds last year. Then I had some medical setbacks. After 2 surgeries and a broken ankle I spent the last few months of last year out of the gym and eating crap. I started back to the gym only to be injured at work. Now I have gained back 33 pounds. I just started going back to gym a few weeks ago BUT I am struggling this time. I think I lost my motivation. I can't seem to figure it out this time. I do go to the gym and I eat crap kind of redundant isn't it. I feel lost. Has this happened to anyone else ?

Yes. I got obese a few years ago that I developed gallstones I had to get them surgically removed. The drs told me I need to start clean eating, but I didn't I ate nuggets and buffets all the time drank beers and ate 1lb chocolate bags to myself and developed gallstones again where I had to get my gallbladder removed. It was a setback at first but it was more embarrassing, I'm anemic and any surgery minor or not is a risk I have two kids and I want to kill my self over food? That's when I decided I need to make a change for them and myself.

My whole life was just a series of gains... I lost 15 lbs once and it stayed off for a year, but going back to school and bored eating made me gain it all back.
I've now lost 28 lbs and I'm halfway through my goal. What really helps me is focus on WHY I'm doing this. Why do I want to lose weight, why do I want do eat healthy, why do I want to exercise everyday? Aside from looking good and feeling better, it's for my daughter. I want to be a good role model. When I think about her, it gets me moving everytime, no matter how tired I am, no matter how bad my day went, no matter how lazy I feel.
You have to find your why!!
Feel free to add me. I log everyday :)

I had my gallblader removed at 16. My mother was operated at 40 and my grand-mother at 52. My mother is a nutritionist and she was always at a healthy weight. Gallstones don't have much to do with your lifestyle IMO.
But you're right to get healthy for your kids! They need you for the long run!
