Unhealthy eating help!!!

So before I decided to loose weight I ate unhealthy 24/7 . When I ate it would be chips, chocolate, anything sweet, wings, pizza ect.
BUT at the same time I would go days without eating, or drinking for that matter.

What I want t know is how do I introduce my body to eating properly?
What's the normal amount of meals people eat in a day?
What type of foods should I be eating?

Today so far I've eaten an egg salad sandwich and an apple, with 2 glasses of water. (It's currently 5:07pm)

I know my diet before toady was horrendous, but that's why I'm here because I need to change!
