Running shoes, and weight training

Options
For those who mix running in with strength training days, do you change your shoes in between? I'll typically run 20-30 minutes at the gym on strength days. I overpronate and so its important for me to wear properly fitted shoes. So far I've always just worn my running shoes and kept them on for both parts. But as they are so expensive, and I'm starting to notice real wear on the sole, I wonder if I shouldn't be doing anything other than running in them, and wearing different shoes for all other things. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but I've recently noticed several people changing their shoes before/after hitting the treadmill. Thoughts?

The only time I wear different shoes for running and lifting is on leg day. On leg day I wear Chuck Taylor's because running shoes are too cushioned for squats. Chuck's give me a more level surface. Now I am just waiting to see a huge improvement in the amount of weight I can squat! ;)
