Adjusting your goal weight

Hi all,
I am within 3 pounds of reaching my goal weight (so exciting!) thanks to MFP. I was just wondering how you go about deciding on if your goal weight (that you originally set for yourself at the beginning of your journey) is the best weight for you. I am seeing now that after my 17 pound weight loss, that 3 pounds may not do the trick and I may need to re-adjust to have the healthy body I am looking for. Has this happened to you? Please share any useful information about adjusting your goal weight or anything that you might find helpful. Thanks!

Your goal weight puts you at a good place on the BMI chart. You may want to look into a body recomposition program with heavy lifting in order to get that body you want.0

I am 5'11. I started at 215 lbs and said my goal would be 149 lbs, because I remember being that weight in the past and being happy with myself. I got down to that weight mid-March and realized that I could do better and lose some more fat. I've decided to change my goal to 139 lbs, although I'm thinking of aiming for 139-145 to give myself a good range. I look good and feel great at this weight, but I know I can be a total bombshell at the slightly lower weight, so why not?0

When I reached my goal weight in November, I re-evaluated my goals too. I lost 25 in 2014, and I'm now looking to drop another 8-10lb but my loss has been drastically slower and I've only lost 3lb since December.
It's definitely good to re-evaluate, but when you do re-set your goal, don't get discouraged with a slower loss!0
