So today started out not good. My daughter (8 months old) woke me up at 5:50, so I got up and got dressed in my running gear because I figured she would go back down after a bottle and I could go out and run real quick. No such luck. She finally just went down and I feel like a failure. I know I still could have gone out and gone running but I didn't. Why? Because its daylight out now. I live in a small town so the only place I can really run is around the neighborhood. I try to run in the early morning hours, before anyone wakes up, before any of my son's friends come out to catch the bus (My son is 9). Why? Because I don't want them to see me run. I know I'm doing good because I am trying to lose weight and be healthy again but I am not comfortable with other people seeing me yet. Especially the Elementary and Middle school kids around here because they are all rotten and my son has already had to deal with one bully problem, I don't want my running to be the cause of another one. I hope I can go out and run tomorrow but I gotta figure a way to get myself over this hump that I put in my way. How do I remember that not everyone out there is cruel and mean? Not everyone takes joy in watching others struggle....

Which is why I have a treadmill in my basement... same thing- I lack self-confidence to get out there in public yet. Plus, I sweat like a beast, which ain't exactly pretty (but I love it!). Get outta your funk, Momma J! Do some planks... or push-ups (off the wall if you can't do real ones yet)... jog in place... go to Fitness Blender on YouTube and do some of their workouts, they will make you feel like you are accomplishing something!

And people ARE cruel and mean... but don't let that derail you. You're in charge of your life. People aren't going to care if you weigh 120 or 220, but you always will. Don't give up... but do GET UP and GET MOVING!

Have a great, sweaty day

Just remember that you are awesome! Plus, getting healthier for you also makes you healthier for your family. :)

How about waiting til the sun goes down? I didn't make it out today because we got about 2 inches of snow and since school is out my road is last to get plowed. I'm planning to get out there after work.
