Hello!!! I have a question. I spend a lot of time in the direct sun on the weekends and evenings. Do we burn calories while been under the sun? If so about how much?

Are you exercising while in the sun?

Your body may burn a tiny bit more trying to cool you off, but it isn't something you should attempt to log or count.

You mean, just your existence in the sun versus indoors? I'm thinking not.

Sure, body needs to metabolise and transform all the vitamin D you are absorbing - make sure you wear speedos if you want to maximise the weight loss!

If your skin is sun-burned, then your body many burn extra calories trying to repair the damage, but most of the calories that you burn while outside will be from your normal metabolism plus calories burned from the movement you do while you are outside. So, no, I don't think that it's going to be a huge difference whether you are inside or outside. The movement/work that you are doing and how fast you are moving or how hard you are working is what will determine how much you burn.

You might lose water weight from sweating but calories and true weight loss...no.

I wouldn't try and figure something like that out, it would likely only hinder your progress.

Calories don't evaporate like water in the sun as far as I know ;)

Maybe a little more than in the shade.

Anything additional you might burn would be completely negligible.

    Keep it simple.
