Hi everyone! So glad to be here. I soooooooo need your support. My best friend started on this website and with exercise she's already lost 10lbs! That's motivation! So I am the fattest I've ever been and it is really uncomfortable and unhealthy now. I'm concerned about my cholesterol and getting diabetes and I pretty much hate how I look. Which is new for me because I have never really hated how I look, even when overweight. :o) So I know it's time. Thanks for listening. Any tips for staying connected and motivated?

The best tip I've ever gotten was "STAY POSITIVE! If you had kept going all the times you started and quit you would be at your goal weight right now!" :) Helps to remember that when I feel like quitting! :) We can do this! ~sent friend request~

Just remember YOU CAN DO IT! and STICK TO IT. If you fall off GET RIGHT BACK ON! I truly relate to all of your concerns. I feel much of the same way. There are no minuses (negatives) to getting in shape, eating right, and exercising. Everything that comes with a healthy lifestyle change is positive so why not?! And what I always try to tell myself is that all those 'good tasting - bad for me foods' will still be there once my weight is off. They aren't going anywhere. So try to resist them most often - and eat them only in moderation. Most of all - ENJOY LIFE at any weight because each day of life is a blessing!!

And be patient! It can be frustrating to make drastic changes in your eating habits and excercise to then only see a pound or two come off the scale. The process is months, not weeks, so stick to it and try to be patient. If you get discouraged, turn here for support - you'll find it.

I'm going to try to commit to login everyday and keep focused that way. I have a sedentary life as I work a desk job and work very long hours. So I HAVE to be more careful about my calories and exercise. And I do get inpatient so thanks for reminding me to take a chill pill :o) Good advice everyone! One real problem is that it is impossible for me to stay on track if I am hungry. I turn into a monster when I'm hungry and get sick with migraines, so I really have to plan and make sure I always have something healthy to eat.
