Okay, to start off here are my stats;
24, Female
6'0" and 197lbs roughly (I fluctuate between 194 and 197).
Run 8-10KM 3 days a week + 1 trail run on Saturdays or Sundays (usually 8KM but upping that slowly in anticipation of tough mudder, and we're not talking groomed trail, these are nasty, dirty, muddy trails in the forest).
Following NROL4W and will be starting the third week on Monday
The rest of the story:
I eat at a 500 deficit currently according to what MFP has given me, right now eating 1690 net. I haven't been losing much lately and I think I want to start looking at focusing more on physical fitness and fueling my work-outs versus just plain weightloss. I would like to be at or look like I'm at 180lbs. I'm leaning towards switching to tdee-20% and I put my details/info into the Scooby's Workshop calculator and it popped out 2146 calories for me based on my expected activity level of 3-5 hours of moderate exercise a week (I think I am right on the nose for this, I average 10KM per run and my HR floats between 155 and 171 when I run). My biggest concern is weight gain, obviously. I'm getting married next summer and my wedding dress is already ordered, so I'd rather not gain anything!
I'm really looking for some reassurance that I'll be making the right decision to switch, and some advice about switching and what to expect. I'll be seeing my doctor on monday for an unrelated concern (asthma sucks!) and I may ask for a referral to a sports nutritionist to talk further about this but I wanted to see what you guys thought as well.

I'm having the same dilemma. I've been steadily increasing my net since Feb and am currently netting 1850. I'm 31, 5'8 and 146lbs and run 3 x per week (5-8k) and do weights 2 x per week. My weight loss has been nice and steady but on my rest days I have been hungry, although it is usually manageable. Have been ravenous all this week though and past 2 days of rest have been challenging. So that has made me start to think again about following Scooby site. Most days I'm eating around 2300 cals and for my amount of exercise it recommends 2250 cals a day. The thing I like about netting is if on a day a burn a lot I get to eat 2600 once or twice a week sometimes and you're right, it certain fuels the workouts. I've been losing anywhere between 1 and 4 lbs a month and am now 3 lbs from goal. Not sure if this is the time to up cals 7 days a week. I'm worried that 2300 might feel a bit restrictive and not leave much for manoeuvre. Hmmm.....can't decide what to do for the best! So I'd also be interested to find out if people have been successful following scooby's numbers.0
