Anyone had success with Couch to 10K?

I'm 5'9", 237 pounds, so pretty heavily overweight. Yesterday I started the Couch to 10K program on my app, and today was my second day. Just a half hour run/walk that is kicking my butt, not to the point I can't do it, though. I am really liking it! I am hoping I'll have weight loss success and wanted to ask if anyone else on here has used it as well?
Also, I don't know what to mark on my activity level for MFP! I used to have sedentary but we're making an effort to go to the gym every day, but the workouts are only half hour, sometimes longer.....lightly active? Still sedentary? I don't want to over eat calories, but I also don't want to hold onto the weight because of constriction. (I work from home on the computer, so AFTER the gym I spend a lot of time sitting when I'm not cleaning the house.)

I just started C25k today. I did it in the past and loved it.0

I've done Couch to 5k. I never got to where I could run the whole 5k, but I did complete several 5ks and loved it. I'm starting up again after not running for a while because my knee was hurting, but I'm looking forward to it again0
