Send that dog to Hollywood and recoup the costs of the broken window.

I called the cops once on someone who came in to Friendly's with their big, furry dog in their car in the middle of the summer, rolled the windows up, and went inside. My fiance and I watched the poor guy for a good 15 minutes before we called the cops, thinking maybe the woman just ran in and didn't think. Took the cops 5 minutes to get there, still no sign of the woman. Cop got there and told us to go home, he'd take care of it. He proceeded to lean up against the car and waited for the woman to come out. Hope it wasn't too long after that, and I hope she at least got a good tongue lashing from the cop.

I was recently at the paint store and a woman left her kids (2 and 5) in the car ... The windows were open enough that anyone could have reached in and unlocked the doors. I was blown away. She happened to be in the paint store and went out every few minutes to check on them as teh store was busy and the emnployees were bust waiting on other customers.

I did that once in college. I was at school in Austin, Texas, where it is approximately the SURFACE OF THE SUN HOT in August. Dog in a hot car outside of Wal-Mart. Told Wal-Mart. They made an announcement. Nothing. Waited half an hour. Still nothing. Called the cops. Apparently, it was a busy crime day in Austin. Nothing. Waited an hour. Dog was no longer looking at us and had stopped panting and was lying still on the seat. Boyfriend at the time broke the window with a hammer. We took the dog and rushed it to an animal hospital, where the vet didn't even charge us. We kept the dog until we found it a good home. (We lived in an apartment and didn't allow dogs, plus this was a big enough dog that it needed a family and a yard, which is what we found for him.)

And, for you whiney-hineys who would do this to your dog... I don't care about your opinion, and the statute of limitations is WAY up. College was ::::coughcough::: years ago. So, get over it.

In short, OP... I agree wholeheartedly! :drinker:

I hope you stayed there and watched them for her.
