    Check out "Breatharians" sometime. The idea is that God (or in the east, Prana) will sustain you without food or water if you're devout enough. People have died trying to follow it, but the leaders just say they weren't pious enough. All of the leaders have been caught eating food, including one who was seen leaving a 7-11 with a slurpee, hotdog and twinkies.
