I have been keeping track of my calories for 21 days. I lost 5 pounds the first 10 days and haven't lost anything since. I have gone over my calorie goal, only slightly, twice and am very active at my work and also work out 4-5 times a week.

Are you tracking everything you eat? Do you weigh your food? Opening your diary will help people get a bit of an insight into what's going on.

Also, when you say you've gone over your calorie goal "only slightly", what do you mean and what is your goal?

First thing: 11 days without a loss usually isn't something to worry about. Weight loss isn't linear and it very often isn't fast. You could be seeing a slight stall for a variety of reasons, mostly water weight fluctuations due to things like increased exercise, changes in stress, changes in your hormones, TOM, etc. For the most part, keep going and give it a little more time while your body catches up.

If you want to double-check things, though, usually the first thing to do is make sure you're logging as accurately as you can. You'd be amazed at how quickly little inconsistencies can add up!

^ This mostly, but also - you're saying it's only been a few (11-ish) days since you've lost. Weight loss isn't linear. It goes up, it goes, down, it stays the same for periods of time. Look at the overall trend line, not day to day or even week vs. week fluctuations. If you're doing everything "by the book" and you still haven't lost after a couple MONTHS - then it's time to step back and reconsider.

It's too soon to freak out. you're talking about a matter of days with no change. You didn't put the weight on in 21 days, you're not going to lose it in 21 days.

Wait 4-6 weeks before freaking out.

Great point to add - thanks! :) Missed that and it's HUGE.

You aren't going to lose the same amount every week (i.e. the whole "weight loss isn't linear" thing you see here a lot). You lost a decent chunk already in 3 weeks. Be patient.

Thank you all for the information and encouragement! I mostly blame my age, 55, for not being able to loose as fast or as much as I want. I started at 137lbs. lost to 132 with 1300 calories as my goal. I work at a school so I am active all day then do 20 minutes of cardio 2-3 times a week and a 40 minute weight program the other days. I try to be very honest about logging my calories but I do not weigh my food. Thank you.
