Wire cutters
My 3yr old fell on Sat and broke and dislocated his jaw. He is running around acting like it doesn't bother him so I was less nervous about it. They were unable to just adjust him back in place in the surgeon's office yesterday so he has to go under general anesthesia tomorrow and they think they will want to wire his jaw shut. All of this was concerning but I was handling it ok until today. Today the nurse called and was discussing things like needing to carry a pair of wire cutters at all times in case he throws up so that he doesn't suffocate. Now I am a bit of a wreck but trying very very hard to put on a brave face and not show that I am scared in front of any of the children.
Has anyone ever had a tiny one with a wired jaw? How bad was it for them?
