Not necessarily weight loss friendly but I really enjoy their mandarin chicken (frozen section) and chicken fried rice. I buy their frozen peppers and onions to put in my egg white omelets too. I'll be honest, I don't think "healthy" when I think of Trader Joe's. I think "niche". I like their nuts and dried fruit, almond milk, ezekiel bread, oats.
Obviously if you're trying to watch yourself stay away from things like cookie butter and their baked goods/desserts/chocolate.0 -
I have heard nothing but good things about this.0 -
Two buck Chuck (mostly for Mrs Jruzer)
Orange chicken
Gyoza and gyoza sauce
Challah
Thai curry sauce
Honorable mention to:
Ginger snaps
Cookie butter0 -
The pesto from the refrigerator case by the cheese -- not the jarred stuff.
Frozen turkey burgers -- they're about the same price a pound as the frozen turkey and are juicy/yummy.
Hard grating cheese like parmigiano reggiano -- a little goes a long way if you use a microplane to grate it.
Their all-peanut peanut butter -- we prefer the lightly salted.
They are a great source for nuts.
The whole milk Greek yogurt is decadent.
Unsweetened soy milk -- I can't get it anywhere else in town.
The flavored unsweetened carbonated water -- a great soda substitute for a fizz fix.
Their 80/20 ground beef tastes wonderful -- 1 pound makes 4 good-sized burgers.
Frozen haricots verts when they have them -- the fresh are good, too, but you have to use them fast or they go bad.
Their light feta is cheaper than any supermarket around.0 -
Swordfish...its the only place i can get it around here!0
-
Trader Jose's salsa. Excellent, not too spicy, but flavorful. Love that stuff!0

Yep yep.
Love the frozen croissants and the 'tarte d'alsace' as well.

Cheese, frozen fish, frozen veggies and fruits, fresh too....and their fiber sprouted bread and low carb fiber wheat tortillas. I'm not low carb, but can't beat the calories. ..45 calories for 28g tortilla although most of them weigh 32g so it's around 50 calories. And they are gooooooooooddddd0

They have these little xheese puff things that are like pirates booty that are good. I get their yogurt cheese. Cheese sticks. Ravioli, some of the cookies are low calorie. Frozen entrees sometimes are good. They have a nice selection of protein bars. Bran muffins are good too.0

trail mixes, chimichurri rice, dark chocolate peanut butter cups...0

Man I wish this grocery store didn't give me anxiety.0

coffee
50% less salt almonds
Aioli Garlic Mustard Sauce

I love their produce section. I've recently fallen in love with their spicy Asian peanut vinagerette. I have been eating it on almost everything!0

Don't buy frozen tilapia from there. It's farm raised in China. After I read what they feed them I was so disgusted.0

Agreed. It's amazing how many comments are advising OP to buy that stuff.0 -
Hand ful of Almonds mini packs! 200 calories each! I love almonds and if I buy a bag, it's hard for me to control myself. Their premade turkey n Swiss wrap is yummy. Less than 450 calories. Unsweetened almond milk- 30 calories for a whole cup! Perfect. Feta and Gorgonzola in small tubs, perfect for topping salads0

Why? What's wrong with cookie butter and baked goods?0 -
Their dark chocolate, their wine, their cream cheese, their coffee's good too!!0
-
Darn. This all sounds so good. Maybe I'll suck it up and take a trip in. It's a madhouse in NYC, I don't know about other places.0

I LOVE Trader Joes!! I'm not sure I could have made it without them.
Reduced Guilt Guacamole
TJ's Boxed Soups
Sardines in Harima
Burritos
frozen dinners
Frozen soup - Asian
Veggie blends
Light Feta
Organic grapefruits
Ready-made salads0 -
TJ's hummus. Best hummus ever! I also like their seaweed, unsweetened cranberry juice (bargain!) and cut up veggies.0
-
Wow!! Great variety... Guess will need to go check it out. 1 just opened months back0
-
I like their corn chile salsa, endives, and pre-made salads. Yum... Their frozen cherry berry packages are great for making smoothies! They have goat milk too which is thicker and tastes so much better than cows milk, imo. I love TJ's.0
-
Fiberful Granola Bars, chocolate chip or peanut butter
Cottage Cheese (seriously, TJ's is the best!)
Greek yogurt
Dark chocolate bars
Love their hummus
Salsa Verde and Salsa Authentica
Tuna
Ketchup (been a Heinz girl all my life until I tried theirs!)
Multi Grain Hot Cereal
Non foods -
I love the Coconut Body Butter, and my dogs go crazy for their jerky treats for doggies!

Thai chili and lime almonds or cashews
Unsweetened almond milk (theirs is I swear the most amazing you will ever taste)
Goat cheese medallions (a bag of single-serve goat cheeses, like BabyBels)
The produce is extensive and awesome...heirloom cherry tomatoes, multicolored carrots, more greens than you could ever eat, lots of single-serving packages.
The fresh pasta is also really good.
If you can find it, their platinum balsamic vinegar is the most authentic thing you can find for under $30. It's very thick and much tastier than anything in a regular grocery store. If they don't have the platinum, the gold is still good, but it's not quite the same.
If you ever need to give someone flowers, this is definitely the place to go.0 -
Really cheap, but decent, wine!0
