So im back on a weightloss journey after gaining 20 pounds back from having a year away, ive been eating around 1500 calories daily, working out for an hour and also i have a job that involves door knocking for 3 hours so im moving alot in the day! Ive been at this for about 6 weeks and havent seen any changes to the scales, whereas before the weight fell off! what am i doing wrong? is it harder the second time around? HELP

    Generally, when a person is not losing weight, they are not in a calorie deficit. This can happen for a number of reasons, like underestimating the amount of food they eat, overestimating their activity, or some physical cause such as a medical condition or medication which has side effects.

    Start with the simplest answer first...check your stats and make sure everything was entered correctly, height and weight, and activity level (sometimes people overestimate this part, I put mine on sedentary).

    Then look at your food diary. Are you entering absolutely everything? Are you weighing it? Are you using the correct entries? Are you perhaps having late night snacks that you aren't entering, or are you eating dishes prepared by others for which you have to guess calories?

    If you're absolutely positive that everything checks out, then it might be time to make a doctor's appointment. Some common things that can affect weight loss are PCOS and thyroid problems, among other things.
