I have never tried this but I know of people who have...however, every doctor-supervised weight loss plan is different...so I can't comment in your case. You can try it and see if it works for you.

If it's super-low cal I personally wouldn't do it, though, doctor or no doctor. Again, not saying that's definitely what it is as I don't know what your doctor has in mind.

If you try it, ask in advance what the doctor's long-term plan is for helping you once you get to maintenance, as you will need to have worked out by then how to eat for life, not just during the time period of a medically supervised plan. IMO.

I'm personally not in a position where I require a doctor to assist in my losing weight. My total loss goal is 53 pounds, and the only reason I would seek help from a doctor is if my current medical conditions do not improve with my current weight loss. I have PCOS and Hashimoto's, and my endocrinologist has already said that she will not medicate me until it is a necessity, which means either my insulin levels are not getting better or my thyroid fails completely (which she's already stated is inevitable and just a matter of time). Otherwise I'm totally capable of doing this on my own accord. It's not always easy, but I'm doing it.

I was just curious about it, wondering if anyone has tried it bc I came across an article about it while I was searching for a anytime gym in my area. I never really knew they did it in the first place. My doctors idea of weight loss plan for me was giving me a dieting menu..I was like cauliflower raw for a snack, how delicious
