I thought it couldn't hurt to see how others are finding ways to lose weight and such!
Anyways, I'm 25 with a 6 year old son and 3 month old daughter and have always struggled with weight going up and down. Right now I'm lucky both kids are asleep at 7:30pm which is the only time I get to exercise and also lucky to have everyone supporting me by helping motivate me
Being a semi picky eater has made losing weight also difficult so if anyone has any suggestions to help with that!

Fortunately my kids are a bit older so I can work out undisturbed now but I do remember when they were little and it was a lot harder to get a workout in. Can you get up before them to work out? Keep in mind that you don't have to work out to lose weight, though. You can eat the food you want to eat and still lose weight...as long as it's within your calorie goal. Exercising will either create more of a calorie deficit or it will allow you to eat more. I hope that makes weight loss seem less daunting. You can do it. You just have to be consistent.0

Thanks to you both!
I have a hard enough time getting up at 630, that I'd never be able to exercise early. But sometimes we just do a morning walk to do something. I drive my son to school which is a half hour drive each way right now. In the summer it may be different, but I am staying under the calorie goals and learning to pretty much snack more often then eat large quantities of food which seems to be making it easier. I'm also trying not to look at the overall goal weight I want to lose but smaller weight goal to feel like I'm getting somewhere without obsessing over it! Plus my boyfriend has been an awesome help and joining in on it somewhat since he seemed to gain weight with me while pregnant haha
Oh, and I joined that group, thanks!0 -
My kids are older now as well (9,17,21) but...
I did a lot of walking with my daughter (9) in the stroller when she was a baby.
It helped to start losing some weight.
I also did easy videos in the evening after the kids were in bed.
It was a lot of stretching and light strength exercises, but it really helped me to relax and feel like I was doing something good for my body.
You might try a yoga or Pilates video?0 -
I have thought about getting yoga videos to try something new. I do use zumba a couple times a weeks, and if I get tired of that I also have turbo jam. But I doing stretches pretty much every day and have some weights too besides just sit ups and such. Just wish the treadmill didn't bore me so much even though I can watch tv from it!0

Cardio machines bore me too.
I love taking classes at the Y.
Fun, motivational and keeps me coming back0
