Good Leg Exercises

I KNOW you can't just work out on one area and expect to lose fat in that one spot. But I am looking for leg exercises that help with running stride and flexibility. Of course, I want those lean legs, but I know I have to lose all over. Just want to run better and have some muscle under the fat when it starts to disappear.
Good old fashioned lunges and squats? Any other suggestions?

To run better, work with a running coach, or read up on running form on runner's websites.
To get more flexible, research stretches on Youtube, or read Stretching by Bob Anderson. Running doesn't take a lot of flexibility.
To build your muscles, follow a good, full-body strength program, like NROLFW, Stronglifts, a personal trainer's program, etc.0
