Hi Everyone
10 days ago when I jointed MFP I weight 106kgs, I am 162cm tall and 27 years old. According to BMI I am obese (probably even morbidly). I am a big girl but dont look that huge. Anyway I have had trouble with my weight since I was a teenager. 7 years ago I had a very very stressful job and ate a lot (I am an emotional eater), and I put on many kgs at that time. Since then, I have not been able to lose any. I have been floating around 105kgs consistently since that time. No matter what I have done, I was only able to lose 2-3 kgs even if I was exercising and "eating healthy".
Someone suggested to me I join MFP and start tracking my calories. Boy am I glad I did!!!
I have a desk job and with my details and desire to lose 20kgs overall, MFP has set me at around 1400 calories per day, which I am finding acheivable
The other day I went through and found out the calories in my fave foods and takeaways..needless to say I was horrified and totally put me off getting takeaways again!!!!!!! I cannot believe I used to put that stuff in my body!
And to top things off, I weighed myself today, and for the first time in over 6 months (even though I exercised and "ate better' prior to MFP), I have finally lost my first 1kg.
I am so so stoked. I feel in control of my body know exactly what I have eaten and what I am still allowed to eat. So Happy.
Looking forward to being part of the community
Cheers everyone!
