Lost weight, gained it back

So at the beginning of last year, I had lost a total of 80+ lbs. I was soo close to being out of the 200's. And then I stopped caring. Stopped exercising and eating healthy. I kept telling myself that I would get back at it tomorrow, although tomorrow never came. I gained all but 20lbs back.
I have decided to finally get back on track. Have been working on this for about a week. I am losing weight but not exactly happy. I feel angry with myself that I am losing weight that I had already lost. I am embarrassed that I allowed myself to get this heavy again. And I am worried that it will happen again.

Don't beat yourself up too much. It happens. I have lost and gained many many times and I usually put on more than I take off, so at least you didn't do that. You probably have heard this before, but this needs to be a life style change for good, or it will not last. I am finding that I am craving different foods now that I'm eating fresh fruits and vegetables a lot of the time. I also really miss it if I don't get to the gym on the days I normally go. I just feel better all around and it's becoming kind of addictive to eat healthy and to exercise. That's not saying that I never eat ice cream or french fries, because I do, but I just don't eat as much or as often I guess. Plus once the weather gets nice for good I will be out on my bike and that is what I really love to do.
One thing is- you did it before so you know you can do it again. Just keep swimming- you got this.0 -

Thank you. I really appreciate it.

I think many of us have done the same thing. I think feeling angry for a bit is normal. But don't dwell too long. You might want to figure out why you stopped caring. I stress eat mindlessly. So keeping a lifelong food diary may need to be a lifestyle choice for me. Good luck. You probably will feel better in a week or two. Make small changes that you can live with.0
