It doesn't taste like pure avocado.Tastes like avocado mixed with lemon juice.

I was excited to try the Subway avocado but I thought it was kind of gross - not a fan of the consistency

I prefer my own guac over theirs. Mainly because there's no way to know if it's actually fresh or not!

So subway now has some new items in canada 1. spinach - yummy! 2. sliced apples 3. avocodo

So there nutrition says its 100% pure avocodo however it sits in a tub all day long and it does not go brown....what the @!#$ how is that possible? any ideas?

Hi I manage one of the local subways in my town........ it does turn brown......you don't see it because when it starts turning brown we throw it out and open a fresh pack or at least at my subway we do.

    From the subway site

AVOCADO PUREE Avocado pulp, water. ascorbic acid

Ascorbic acid is the answer here. Keeps things fresh much like the citric acid in limes and lemons.
