hi, im thinking of getting a heart rate monitor, my spin teacher has started alternating her classes for between massively cardio based and endurance and she has said that knowing your heart rate helps you target. what are your recommendations?
thanks.

    Depends on your budget.

I used to use a Polar FT60, which was reliable but Polar is a walled garden in terms of data. They have announced MFP integration.

Nowadays I use a Garmin FR310XT, which is easier to upload and has MFP integration. There's not much in it to be honest.

If you cycle or run in the real then I'd argue for a Garmin as the GPS correlation is very useful.

Polar FT7 cheap as chips and does what you need. I use one for spinning amongst other activities.
