Will this taste okay with some substitutions?

I'm looking at this recipe but thinking about how to make it healthier. Will it still taste somewhat okay if I use lowfat cream cheese and greek yogurt for the sour cream?

I would use lowfat cream cheese (fat free has a weird texture)& fat free sour cream or fat free plain greek yogurt. Should be fine.

I would substitute neufchatel for cream cheese and greek yogurt for the sour cream.

I usually like to substitute half fat-free yogurt and half light sour cream for sour cream. Agree on using neufchatel for the cream cheese.

It will be delicious! I make something like it often and always with light or Neufchatel instead of cream cheese...I don't usually add any greek yogurt or sour cream but I can see how it would lighten up the texture. Mine is usually pretty solid and more of a cracker spread. Taste as you go...the smoked salmon usually has a lot of flavor and therefore the dip/spread needs minimal seasoning!

Yes, I doubt you'll even notice the difference.

I sub Greek yogurt for sour cream all the time. Yes, it's different but it's still good.

My only suggestion is to adjust the lemon juice if you use Greek yogurt. The yogurt is more tart than the sour cream so you may want less lemon. Also salt will help balance some of the tartness so add that before you taste and like someone else said taste along the way
