Newbie to mfp

How do you all feel about cheat days? Think they re-ignite your metabolism? I have been on 1200 cal/day diet for 3.5 weeks and losing but, feeling deprived... Took cheat day today but, ate 1800 cal total. My maintenance is supposed to be at 1750 cal/day.. Wonder if this will stunt my progress?

  • i did this a few years ago when i was on WW...i would do a day w/ really low points total and then the next day i would eat like absolute crap lol (within reason of course) and i would get on the scale and had a larger loss than if i would consistently stay within my points range.

    I do low carb from time to time and make my cheat day on Friday's when it's pizza night. You need a cheat day or you'll feel deprived. It won't hurt your progress. :)

    Guess I will find out when I weigh myself Fri! But, no regrets because those ribs were awesome at Rib City!:wink:
